The Mexican guacamole recipe is perfect for all kinds of parties and especially for watching a football match in company. This sauce goes naturally with tortillas but is also full with french fries, bread sticks, crackers, croutons and bread in general.

What you'll like most about this guacamole recipe is that with a few basic ingredients you can easily replicate it in your kitchen.

To make a great guacamole choose "Haas" type and perfectly ripe avocados. The best avocado should have a purplish black color and give under pressure in a gentle way.

To accompany your salsa, you can make tortilla chips at home. Simply cut the polenta into triangles and fry them in cooking oil over medium-high heat until crisp. Transfer the cooked triangles to a plate and soak up the excess oil.

If you want a spicier guacamole instead of jalapeno pepper use Serrano pepper in the recipe.

If you want to keep the guacamole in the fridge for the next day, add a few drops of lemon to it so it doesn't turn brown anytime soon.

Let's now see the ingredients and the preparation procedure.

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 3 Haas avocados
  • 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
  • 1/4 of Roma tomatoes finely diced
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander without stems
  • 1 finely diced jalapeno pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice

Preparation

  1. Cut the avocado in half.
  2. Remove the skins and place the avocado in a bowl.
  3. Stir the avocados until the consistency is smooth and with only a few lumps.
  4. Add the other ingredients to the bowl, no matter the order.
  5. Gently mix all the ingredients together.
  6. Garnish the guacamole with coriander leaves and serve in the traditional Mexican stone tool molcajete.

Taste with tortilla chips and congratulate yourself on the simple but very appetizing recipe!
